Cal Poly-SLO defeats Cal State-Fullerton 58-54

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. (AP)—David Hanson had 25 points and put Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo ahead to stay with a 3-pointer with 1:28 remaining Thursday night in a 58-54 victory over Cal State-Fullerton.

Cal Poly (7-8, 3-1) trailed 32-22 at halftime, and after Fullerton scored the second half's first basket, the Mustangs went on a 23-10 run to take a 45-44 lead.

Cal State Fullerton led 53-52 after Andre Hardy's three-point play with 1:44 remaining. But Hanson made his 3, blocked a Titans shot on the other end, and Jordan Lewis made a 3-pointer for Cal Poly with 35 seconds left to make it 58-53.

Hanson was 10 of 19 from the field, 5 of 10 from 3-point range, for the Mustangs. Will Donahue grabbed 10 rebounds for Cal Poly.

Devon Peltier led the Titans (6-11, 2-3) with 13 points and Hardy had 12 points and 10 rebounds.
