Pomona Teen, 14, Accused Of Stabbing Grandfather, 73, To Death

POMONA (CBS) —  A 14-year-old Pomona boy was arrested Tuesday for allegedly stabbing  his 73-year-old grandfather to death.

Sheriff's deputies detained the boy in Diamond Bar. He was armed with a knife and told deputies that he had harmed his grandfather.

Deputies and Pomona police went to the 1800 block of Grier St. about 12:30 p.m. to check on the grandfather's condition and found him dead.

The grandfather was identified as Bruno Rodriguez.

The boy was taken to Los Padrinos Juvenile Hall where he was booked for homicide.

A knife believed to have been used in the stabbing was recovered.
