Has California's Ho-Hum Bandit Branched Out To Colorado?

SANTA ANA (CBS) — Officials believe the man they dubbed the Ho-Hum Bandit may have taken his criminal act on the road.

Ho-Hum, nicknamed because of a rather bland look, is a suspected serial bank robber who has struck at least a dozen banks in Southern California, mostly San Diego and Orange Counties.

The FBI said he hadn't turned up for several months until they matched a profile of a similar robber in Colorado.

According to FBI Special Agent Chris Gicking, the bandit in Colorado has a similar m.o. That robber, dubber the JV Bandit Gone Bad, because he appears to be barely 20, is wanted for at least eight hold-ups in the Denver, Fort Collins and Boulder area.

Ho-Hum has a penchant in Orange County, at least, of hitting some of the same branches twice. He hit the same branch in Laguna Beach this past July. He also robbed the same branch in Corona del Mar in June weeks after robbing it the first time.
