SOUTH LOS ANGELES (AP) — Gunshots fired from a car have killed a 14-year-old boy near South Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department says the boy was walking at about 12:30 a.m. Thursday in the unincorporated Westmont area when he passed a car stopped in the street.READ MORE: Staples At Full Capacity For First Time Since March Of 2020 As Clippers Make History
Witnesses told authorities that shots rang out from the passenger side of the car as the boy walked by. The car then drove off.READ MORE: Digital Version Of COVID Vaccine Card Now Available To All Californians
Deputies found the wounded boy on the sidewalk. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.
