Mechanic Crushed To Death By Car In Auto Repair Shop
TEMECULA (CBS) — A 63-year old mechanic at a Temecula auto service repair shop was killed on the job Saturday, according to officials.
Robert Morales, of Hemet, was working on a vehicle that was raised on a hydraulic lift Friday at Rancho Auto Service and Smog at 27591 Commerce Center Drive in Temecula.
For unknown reasons, the rear of the vehicle slipped off the lift fatally injuring Morales, said Sgt. Terry Scanlon.
The California Division of Occupational Safety and Health -- Cal/OSHA -- was notified to conduct an investigation.
