Pedestrian Fatally Struck On 710 Freeway In Compton

COMPTON (CBS) — A pedestrian was fatally struck Saturday on the Long Beach (710) Freeway in Compton, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The accident, which occurred about 4:15 a.m., took place in the northbound lanes just north of Alondra Boulevard, CHP Officer Ed Jacobs said.

It was unclear if the person had gotten out of a wrecked or disabled vehicle, he said.

A SigAlert was canceled at 6:52 a.m.
