Beverly Hills Family Says They Were Attacked By Chasen Murder Suspect
BEVERLY HILLS (KFWB) — A Beverly Hills family considers themselves lucky that they didn't meet up with the same fate as murdered publicist Ronni Chasen.
The Gerdabi family says they had their own encounter, more than a decade ago, with the man who police now say apparently killed the famed Hollywood publicist in a random act of violence.
Los Angeles Police yesterday said a preliminary ballistic test on the gun Smith used to kill himself matched that of the gun used to kill Chasen.

The Gerdabis are in shock. Naz Gerdabi says Smith robbed her mother 12 years ago outside the family home while she went out to get the mail. She also added the family moved from Beverly Hills because they feared Smith would return.
