Body Of Missing Scuba Diver Found Near Underwater Cave

SANTA BARBARA (AP) — The body of a scuba diver who vanished over the weekend in Santa Barbara County has been found near an underwater cave.

The county Sheriff's Department says the body of 27-year-old Kristopher Carlsen was found in crevasse leading into the cave Sunday afternoon.

An air and sea search was launched after Carlsen failed to surface Saturday morning while diving for lobster with his father off of Santa Cruz Island.

The cause of his death is under investigation.
