28-Year-Old Inmate Found Dead At OC Jail
SANTA ANA (AP) — Authorities say a 28-year-old inmate has been found dead in his cell at the Orange County Jail.
The county sheriff-coroner department says the man was found unresponsive in his cell Tuesday morning. Deputies and the jail's medical staff attempted to revive him and paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
Authorities say there were no obvious signs of foul play. An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.
The inmate was being held on a probation violation.
His identity is being withheld pending notification of his family.
