Investigators Probe Death Of Rubidoux Boy, 4-Months

RUBIDOUX (CBS) — Investigators are looking into the circumstances of the death Wednesday of a four-month-old boy in Rubidoux.

Authorities said the cause of death is unknown "at this point," said Riverside County Sheriff's Sgt. Joe Borja. "An autopsy has to be done at this stage of the investigation."

The boy's name was not released.

He was reportedly unconscious and unable to breathe when deputies arrived at the scene of his single-family home in the 5000 block of Seri Court, near Flabob Airport.

Police arrived just after 6:40 a.m. but the boy was pronounced dead at Riverside Community Hospital about an hour later.

No arrests have been made.

Borja said autopsy results might take several days.
