Paramount Teen Gunned Down In His Own Driveway
PARAMOUNT (CBS) — A 16-year-old boy was fatally shot while standing in the driveway of his Paramount home just before midnight, a sheriff's deputy said Saturday.
Deputies responded to a 'shots fired' call in the 8200 block of Somerset Boulevard at 11:49 p.m. Friday, Deputy Mark Pope said.
Upon arrival, they found the child in the driveway suffering from several gunshot wounds. He was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead, Pope said.
Detectives said the victim was in the driveway when he was approached by four suspects. The suspects were last seen running westbound on Somerset Boulevard, Pope added.
