Stacey Doss Tells KNX 1070 She's Hopeful Vanessa Can Stay With Her
City News Service reports justices will hear arguments Tuesday on a motion to stay a ruling that gave jurisdiction over custody of a 2-year-old girl named Vanessa to Ohio courts until a full appellate court panel can decide which state has jurisdiction.
Vanessa has remained with Stacey Doss -- the would-be adoptive mother from Orange County -- because of an earlier ruling blocking her return to her father.
The father -- Benjamin Mills Jr., of Dayton -- filed for custody in Ohio in 2008 before the adoption was finalized. A separate custody battle is continuing in Ohio.
