1 Woman Dead, 1 Detained In LA Rail Stop Incident

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Sheriff's homicide detectives are investigating the death of a woman at a rail station in downtown Los Angeles, and another woman has been detained.

Deputy Jeff Gordon said in a written statement that detectives are investigating the Sunday night incident on the Metro Gold Line platform in Little Tokyo.

Gordon says a victim was taken to a hospital where she died from her injuries, and a suspect is in custody.

Both the victim and the suspect were described only as "female Asian adults," and officials would give no further details.
