1st Place Kings Lose 2 Players For At Least A Month

 LOS ANGELES (AP) -- The Kings announced Monday that both veteran newcomers were injured during Saturday's win over Nashville.

Mitchell will be out four to six weeks with a broken wrist, while Ponikarovsky will miss at least four weeks with a broken finger. Neither player will need surgery.

Mitchell and Ponikarovsky are both in their first seasons in Los Angeles, which leads the Western Conference at 10-3-0.

Mitchell has one goal and four assists while playing with Drew Doughty in the Kings' top defensive pairing.

Ponikarovsky has two goals and two assists for Los Angeles.
