5 Injured, 2 Arrested In Hollywood Shootings

LOS ANGELES (AP) — A major Hollywood intersection was closed for hours Monday after a pair of gang-related shootings left five people injured and two in custody.

Los Angeles police say the victim of a 1:25 a.m. shooting was found at Hollywood and Cahuenga boulevards and was hospitalized with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

City News Service says the investigation was still going on about 90 minutes later when four men were shot near the intersection and hospitalized.

Police say they arrested two people during their investigations, but Officer J. Boyer says he doesn't know if the shootings were related.
