Kings Activate Defenseman Matt Greene From Non-Roster List

DENVER (AP) — Defenseman Matt Greene has been activated from the Los Angeles Kings' non-roster list after sitting out the start of the year as he recovered from offseason shoulder surgery.

The team's assistant captain was expected to be available for the game Saturday night against the Colorado Avalanche.

Los Angeles also assigned defenseman Jake Muzzin to the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League. Muzzin has one point in six games with the Kings this season.

The 27-year-old Greene is in his third year donning a Kings sweater.
