Witness: Nadya Suleman's Doctor Expressed Remorse

LOS ANGELES (AP) — A witness says Nadya Suleman's fertility doctor has expressed remorse for providing the mother of 14 with treatments that helped her conceive octuplets.

Dr. Suraj Achar says Dr. Michael Kamrava regretted the outcome of Suleman's pregnancy, and they discussed his strategies to reduce multiple gestation with other patients.

Achar testified Wednesday at a hearing in Los Angeles in which the California Medical Board is seeking to revoke or suspend Kamrava's license.

Achar says he visited Kamrava's office once to assess his record-keeping at the request of the fertility doctor's lawyer.

Achar works for a program at the University of California, San Diego that often assesses and educates physicians censured by the state medical board.
