LOS ANGELES (CBS) — With the 2010 elections just weeks away, California candidates are getting help from major political players.

Claremont McKenna Government Professor Jack Pitney Talks With KNX 1070’s Jack Popejoy and Vicky Moore

Former President Bill Clinton and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin are scheduled to attend campaign events in Southern California this weekend.

Clinton will speak at a rally for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Jerry Brown on Friday night at UCLA. He will also speak at an event for Rep. Loretta Sanchez, D-Garden Grove, in Santa Ana on Saturday, as well as a California Democratic Party fundraiser in Beverly Hills.

Meanwhile, Sarah Palin will speak at the Republican National Committee’s “Victory 2010” gathering in Anaheim Saturday.
