Artist To Attempt Record-Breaking Tattoo Marathon For AIDS Awareness

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — To raise money and AIDS awareness, a Hollywood tattoo artist plans to ink at least 802 AIDS Awareness ribbons over 24 hours to break the Guinness World Record for most tattoos done in one day.

Mr. Monster will begin the record-breaking attempt Friday at noon and will ink one after another until Saturday at noon at Mr. Monster's Nightmare Tattoo & Art Gallery, 7739 Santa Monica Blvd.

Just one tattoo will be for sale over this 24-hour period – the red ribbon, AIDS Awareness logo. Mr. Monster will donate 100 percent of the proceeds to AIDS Walk Los Angeles.
