MISSION HILLS (CBS) — A “miracle” baby was born at 10:10 a.m. on 10/10/10 at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills.

Luke Canfield’s time of arrival was not the only miraculous detail about his birth.

“I’ve had epilepsy for quite a few years and, by the time I was 19, I’d been on over 20 different medications and it just destroyed all my parts,” mom Amanda Canfield said.

The infant weighed in at 7 pounds, 6 ounces, and is doing well, according to hospital officials.

Canfield’s obstetrician, Dr. Sean Kossari, told KCAL9 that Canfield did extremely well.

“She came in last night, we sent her walking for a little while to see if she was in labor or not and she was. She got admitted. Even then I still didn’t expect her to deliver this fast, this quickly, this easily.”
