FBI Hunts For 'Muscle Shirt Bandit'

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — The FBI Friday asked for the public's help in finding the "Muscle Shirt Bandit."

They say he robbed one bank and tried robbing two others since last Friday.

The suspect is described as a 35- to 42-year-old Latino male between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing about 180 to 185 pounds.

The FBI adds the suspect has visible tattoos, including one on the back of his neck reading "Down4theSickness," and more ink on his arms and chest.

The suspect was linked to a robbery at the US Bank branch at 13372 E. Telegraph Road in Santa Fe Springs last Friday. The FBI says he attempted robberies at a Citibank at 3530 Wilshire Blvd. and a Wells Fargo at 3550 Wilshire Blvd. last Saturday, said FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller.

He wore a light-colored tank top and baseball cap and carried a dark-colored backpack during the robbery and attempted robberies.

The FBI urged anyone with information about these robberies to contact them or police.
