Victim Described As Kind, Gentle Man, KNX 1070's Chris Sedens reports.

Neighbors described the victim, who was the owner and landlord of two other units, as a kind and gentle man who had trouble walking and getting around.

Detectives said it appeared a burglary or home invasion took place and then turned violent. Family members were taking an inventory of the couple's belongings to try to figure out what was stolen.

Anyone with information was asked to contact Hawthorne police.
