Charge Filed Against Fugitive In Bride-To-Be Murder
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Los Angeles County prosecutors have charged a fugitive with murdering a woman during a burglary and then setting the victim's home on fire.
The district attorney's office said Wednesday that 34-year-old Omar Armando Loera faces one count each of murder, burglary, arson and assault with a deadly weapon.
Loera, a transient parolee, is wanted in the killing of 34-year-old Chere Osmanhodzic, who was found stabbed to death July 24 in her burned Valley Village home.
Police say Osmanhodzic's fiance arrived to find the home in flames and confronted a man inside. The fiance chased him for several blocks but was not able to catch him.
