Spears Denies Bodyguard Harassment Claims

LOS ANGELES (CBS/AP) — A former bodyguard for Britney Spears says she sexually harassed him and abused her children, allegations the pop singer calls "baseless. "

A statement posted to Spears' website Thursday says that the pop singer and her attorneys expect Fernando Flores' case to be dismissed.

Flores sued the 28-year-old on Wednesday, claiming she repeatedly exposed herself to him and that he witnessed her abusing her young sons.

Spears' statement calls the allegations "another unfortunate situation where someone is trying to take advantage of the Spears family and make a name for himself." The website also says the Department of Children and Families investigated the allegations and took no action.

An attorney for Spears' ex-husband, Kevin Federline, says Flores' allegations of children abuse are "baseless" and appeared to be motivated by money.

The first hearing in the case is scheduled for January.
