Monday May 28

Looking for something to do with the kids on Memorial Day? The pool at the Annenberg Beach House will be open Memorial Day weekend from 10am - 6pm. The grounds include a splash pad, outdoor playground for the kids and outdoor cafe with dine-in our take-out service. Go online to book your own canopy on on the sand or stroll down to the water's edge and frolick in the sea. No matter what you do at Annenberg you can't go wrong! Its always a hit with the kids!

Wednesday May 30

Join Club MomMe at Kidville Brentwood for an evening with the pros offering beauty and styling tips for expecting Moms. Beauty and styling expert Anya Sarre will give tips on how to stay glam and natural while pregnant. Local stylist Robin Saperstein of High Heel in a Haystack will curate fashions just for you with clothing provided by Rosie Pope Maternity, Ingrid & Isabel, Everly Grey, Kicky Pants and Prelegant. There will be mock-tails, mini massages and lots of great give-away items as well. Club MomMe www.clubmomme.com produces all kinds of wonderful events for expecting Moms and Moms with babies. They bring in experts and great brands to offer Moms the VIP treatment.

June 1, 2 and 3rd

Head out to Lake Skinner in Temecula for a fun-filled weekend for the whole family. This annual event features top-name entertainment, wine tasting in the Wine Garden, Kids Faire, Arts & Crafts and Commercial exhibits and the Food Court. This is a great opportunity to taste wine from numerous Temecula Valley wineries as well as others from Southern California. Performers on Friday include Phil Vassar, Chris Cagle, Gloriana and Jamestown Revival. Saturday offers a whole new line-up with Lifehouse, Soul Asylum and Coffey. On Sunday there with be a Metal Mulisha FMX show. There are daily hot air balloon events as well. They take off on Saturday and Sunday morning at 6:30 am and there is a balloon glow each evening after sundown. You can also book a balloon flight by calling 800- 965-2122. You have to book in advance to do a balloon flight. Some tips from the event producers - dress in layers as the weather changes throughout the day, bring lots of sunscreen and bug repellent and watch where you walk because its sometimes hard to see balloon tethers. Animals are not permitted at the event. The event is open at 3pm on Friday and at 6am Saturday and Sunday. Ticket prices are as follows: Friday $22.00 adults / youth 7-12 $5.00 / children 6 and under FREE; Saturday $25.00 adults / youth 7-12 $5.00 / children 6 and under FREE; Sunday $17.00 adults / youth 7-12 $5.00 / children 6 and under FREE. Weekend Combo $50.00 (Friday, Saturday & Sunday entrance tickets only).

Jazz musician and popular trmpeter Chris Botti will perform songs from his latest album Impressions at The Greek Theatre, LA on Saturday, June 2nd. Opening the show will be Dave Landau. According to the Greek Theatre site "Impressions is a collection of songs and compositions expressing his love for rich, evocative melodies and showcases Botti among a high profile group of featured guests, including pianist/composer Herbie Hancock, tenor Andrea Bocelli, country star Vince Gill, rock star Mark Knopfler, composer/pianist David Foster and violinist Caroline Campbell." Tickets range from $39.50 - $85.00.

Saturday June 2

10am - 3:00 pm

Join actor Max Adler (better known as Dave Karofsky on Glee) for the Third Annual Shakespeare Challenge during City Hearts: Kids Say Yes to The Arts A Day of Enchantment. This free day-long event showcases the work of more than 200 inner city students. Students will kick off the day competing in the Shakespeare Challenge, performing scenes and monologues in front of a panel of judges and attending audience members. The afternoon's activities will feature student recitals and a photography exhibition. Max Adler was recently named the official International Spokesperson for City Hearts and is leading an anti-bullying campaign through the organization.
