Save up your appetite because most of these events are happening at the end of the week. Foodies will unite at some of the hottest local food events around. Enjoy dining at gourmet food trucks, drink the finest local wines, and celebrate cultural cuisine this week. If good food and fine wine do not tickle your fancy, there will be lots of cute animals to cuddle at the pet expo this weekend as well.

Thursday-Sunday, April 19-22

Bring the whole family down for rides, food, and entertainment at the La Habra Citrus Fair. There will be a family pre-view night on April 19th, and the remaining fair dates will be on April 20th through the 22nd. The fair will be open on Friday from 5pm-midnight, Saturday 2pm-midnight, and Sunday 2pm-10pm. Admission to the fair is free of charge.

Friday-Sunday, April 20-22

Come see over 1,000 animals, reptile shows, police K-9 demos, and more at the America's Family Pet Expo. The expo will be at the OC Fair & Events Center from April 20th until the 22nd. Save $2 by purchasing your ticket online in advance. Tickets are $12 per adult, $10 seniors, $6 for children ages 6-12, and children under 5 are free. The expo will be open for visitors on Friday from 10-6pm, Saturday 10-7pm, and Sunday 10-6pm.

Saturday, April 21

Enjoy a free student run festival with food, entertainment, games, rides, and other fun activities. There will be an exciting car show with awards being given in 23 different categories. The event is free of charge with the festivities starting at 10am.

Saturday, April 21

Help walk for wishes at the 2nd annual Make-A-Wish Foundation walk for wishes. It will be a two mile walk starting at 9:30am around the beautiful Great Park. Interact with the families that Make-a-Wish has impacted, and help raise money for more wishes. Registration is $25 until April 13th, and then it will be $35 until April 20th. Registration is currently online, and will be $40 at the day of the event. Saturday-Sunday, April 20-21

Have a love for wine? Then you are not going to want to miss the California Wine Festival in Dana Point. On April 20th enjoy wine testing at the Dana Point Yacht Club from 6:30-9pm. Tickets are $99 in advance, $125 at the event. Then on Saturday taste wine from the best local wineries at Doheny State Beach from 1-4pm. The price is $69 in advance, or $80 at the event. There is a $15 parking free for the festival at Doheny State Beach.

Saturday-Sunday, April 21-22

Celebrate Japanese American culture at the Cherry Blossom Festival on April 21st through the 22nd from 11am-6pm. There will be a variety of authentic Japanese food, dancing, taiko drums, and martial arts skills performed. Children can enjoy playing games or doing crafts at this free family festival.

Sunday, April 22

Enjoy great food, beer, and wine with live music and entertainment at the Taste of Orange. For an all-inclusive price of $40, guests can enjoy unlimited tastings. The festival will be on April 22nd from 4-8pm. Proceeds benefit local charities.
