If you've ever thrown a party, you know that invitations are your first opportunity to set the tone for your event and impress your guests with your hosting savvy. With the ease and proliferation of electronic invitations (i.e. Evite, Paperless Post, etc), traditional printed invitations seem to be disappearing. But admit it - who doesn't get excited when they open their mailbox and find a lovely, weighty personalized envelope that isn't labeled "Exciting Offer Enclosed?" There is simply no better, more beautiful, or elegant way to let your guests know that your event – be it a small casual dinner, tea for girlfriends, or massive blowout - will be special. To help you in your pursuit for the perfect invitation to reflect your fabulous sensibility, here are some of our favorite places to buy invitations.

In addition to designing gorgeous and uber chic invitations, Andria Sato, the owner of Lilikoi, delivers intimate service. Even better - her studio is eco-friendly! Everything from the inks (vegetable oil based), the odorless solvent and the press run by hand help make this studio "sustainable." Additionally, she mainly uses cotton paper made from reclaimed fabric (and made in the US) and orders are wrapped in 100% cotton, reusable packaging. Andria can provide a wide variety of invitation printing services from digital to letterpress, but it's the letterpress invitations that she prints one at a time on her on-site hand-run letterpress that are truly extraordinary. Like Kot Design, Lilikoi does not have a storefront, she'll come to you, and her service is by appointment only.
