If you're looking to spend Thanksgiving evening out, be sure to check out the Thanksgiving Holiday Buffet at Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner Restaurant. The holiday tradition includes an expanded menu complete with unlimited champagne. The restaurant, which was actually established before the theme park, is the world's largest chicken dinner restaurant. And while the venue has capacity for 900, you can be certain the evening's buffet will sell out so book early.

Thanksgiving is a time to give back. Before you sit down to celebrate and give thanks this season, why not volunteer to help serve Orange County students and their families who are without homes? House of Blues and Second Harvest have partnered to serve 650 students and their families from 10 am to 1 pm on Thanksgiving Day. Selected by the Anaheim City School District Staff, families will enjoy a meal as well musical entertainment courtesy of House of Blues.

Work off that Thanksgiving meal while supporting an important cause. On Thanksgiving Day, over 10,000 participants will participate in one of the most scenic coastal runs in the US, which includes the beaches, cliffs, and coves of Dana Point. Funds raised from the event will benefit The Dana Point 5th Marine Regiment Support Group and The Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County. You can register on race day starting at 6:00 PM. After you've enjoyed a day of gourmet food, conversation, and remembering all you're thankful for, spend a few hours enjoying the beauty of the outdoors. This 2 mile hike through the woodlands of the park offers panoramic views. Be sure to register on Eventbrite if you're interested in participating.

Similarly, The Richard and Donna O'Neill Conservancy will also host a 3 to four mile hike on Friday, November 25th from 9 am to 11:30 am. It should be noted that this is a moderate to strenuous hike.
