Las Vegas is a land of overindulgence, from hundreds of restaurants, luxurious hotels and spectacular shows to choose from. We’ve done the dirty work for you and narrowed down the choices to have the best romantic getaway in Sin City. What more could you want besides a great room, fine dining, drinks, massages and entertainment? Uh, you’ll have to ask your partner for that.

Nobu Hotel (Caesars Palace)
3570 South Las Vegas Boulevard
Las Vegas, NV 89109
(800) 727-4923

One of the most anticipated hotel openings this year in Vegas was the world’s first Nobu Hotel, a boutique hotel within Caesars Palace that opened its doors in February. The stylish, contemporary décor is infused with Japanese elegance and natural materials, like the dramatic brushstroke on the bedroom wall, which lends a nice energy to the room. Textured grass cloth walls, a live edge wood coffee table, and teak in the bathroom enhance the organic design, while vibrant pillows add just the right amount of color.

Of course, the signature Nobu restaurant adjoins the hotel, and is the largest Nobu in the world and the first on the Strip. Hotel guests have 24-hour access to Chef Nobu’s infamous cuisine and can order room service any time. You won’t want to leave your luxurious and comfy bed, so go ahead and order!

One of the sexiest hotels on The Strip is The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. It’s hip and cool vibe begins with the ever-changing video columns in the hotel’s lobby. Rooms are modern and chic with eclectic furnishings and unexpected wall coverings. Ask for a room overlooking the Bellagio fountains and you’ll be in for a real treat when it gets dark.

Another treat on the horizon…Bruno Mars is coming to The Cosmopolitan beginning December 29th and the hotel is offering a special VIP Bruno Mars Experience, which includes a 1-night stay, dinner and two tickets to the opening night Bruno Mars concert. Also in late December, look for the opening of Rose.Rabbit.Lie., a social club that blends restaurant, bar, club and show into an immersive experience.

Later in the evening, the venue evolves into one of Las Vegas’ hottest nightclubs. An additional space is revealed and expands to 12,000 sq. ft., so there’s plenty of room to rock out and includes 40 VIP tables, DJs and live performances. Hyde is open nightly from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., Fri. and Sat. 11 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Andrea’s (Wynn Hotel)

Celebrity hot-spot, Andrea’s, serves outstanding Asian dishes in a sexy atmosphere. You can’t miss the large eyes (Andrea’s perhaps?) on the wall featured above the bar. Luxury is evident as soon as you walk into the dining room decked out in cream, cognac and pearl, accented with gold hues, velvet sofas and the glow of 1,000 Venetian glass teardrops. Chef Joseph Elevado creates all kinds of delicious dim sum pot stickers, dumplings, scallion pancakes and sushi. Signature dishes include the crispy blue crab and scallop and five-spice garlic lobster, but we were happy to find quite a few vegan options on the menu too. Chef Elevado definitely brings his “A” game to Andrea’s. Note, on weekends, diners can enjoy bypassing the line at Surrender Nightclub and free flow between the two venues.

Though you’ll find many excellent restaurants on the third floor of The Cosmopolitan, don’t miss out on Scarpetta, a modern Italian restaurant by award-winning chef Scott Conant (judge on Chopped). The cooking and service are both exceptional. Plus, we love a place that brings us a warm basket of bread with different dipping sauces and spreads. We also loved the flavorful heirloom tomato salad and roasted diver scallops, which melt in your mouth. Another stand-out signature dish is the short rib agnolotti with a brown butter horseradish sauce. Lastly, you can’t go wrong with the strawberry soufflé with rhubarb compote and vanilla gelato. Bellisimo!

Executive Chef Ralph Scandella combines elements of Chinese, Japanese and Thai cooking with Chilean seabass, sushi, sashimi and filet mignon. The TAO nightclub is known as one of the hottest clubs on The Strip, so avoid the long line and eat at the restaurant first. Dining patrons can enter the club from inside the restaurant, just up the stairs. If hangin’ at a club is not your scene, maybe you’ll like groovin’ to Motown tunes at the Human Nature show, also at the Venetian.

Human Nature (Venetian Hotel)

Las Vegas, NV 89109
(702) 414-9000

A bunch of Aussies singing Motown hits may seem a bit unusual, but these guys are the real deal. Human Nature is Australia’s top-selling pop group and a favorite entertainment act in Las Vegas. The members (that include two brothers) were all schoolmates in Sydney when they originally formed a doo-wop group and were interested in soul, gospel and harmony at a young age. The critically acclaimed quartet puts a modern twist on classic Motown hits and gets the audience up and dancing in the aisles. Don’t miss the show at the Venetian, Smokey Robinson presents Human Nature, The Motown Show (Thur. – Mon. at 7 p.m.).

When in Vegas, no trip is complete without seeing a Cirque du Soleil show. If you like The Beatles, you’ll love this show – we did! LOVE, Cirque du Soleil’s interpretation of The Beatles’ legacy is fantastic. The troupe has managed to add another dimension to their music in a physical form that evokes emotion and is highly entertaining. Using the master tapes from Abbey Road Studios, Sir George Martin and his son Giles created the three-time Grammy-winning soundtrack. These classic songs are brought to life in a new way by some of the best aerialists, acrobats and dancers in the world. We can’t wait to see it again! LOVE is all you need.
