Los Angeles is always ready for its close up, but if you’re looking for some special places to seek out the perfect shots to post on Instagram, look a little outside the City of Angels proper for just that opportunity. To help out, following are a handful destinations that promise to give you bragging rights on the popular social networking site for which everyone and everything is subject to the proverbial candid camera.

El Matador State Beach
32350 El Matador Beach Rd.
Malibu, CA 90265

Sandwiched in between Leo Carillo State Beach and Point Dume State Beach, this particular expanse offers crazy beautiful rock formations and sea caves that seem to light up at golden time just as the sun is setting. Know that you’ll have to walk down some steep stairs to get on the level with this beautiful outpost and also know that if you get to this photogenic spot early enough, you may even find a free parking spot up on Pacific Coast Highway overlooking this awesome scene.

Anaheim, CA 92802
Since the summer of 1955, Disneyland has beckoned snapping tourists who want to capture all this action. This legendary place is still that popular, serving as the best backdrop for enticing Instagram selfies, with or without the park’s iconic characters by your side. Don’t want to be in the picture? Simply opt out by putting someone else in the frame, or just shoot some of the scenery, be that the Mad Hatter Tea Party ride, Splash Mountain, or the Chip ‘n Dale Treehouse. You’re sure to get a lot of “likes” for every picture that comes out of this Anaheim-based theme park known the world over.
