Consistently ranked one of Golf Magazine and GolfWeek's top courses, Journey at Pechanga Resort offers world-class golfing set against magnificent oak trees and jutting rock formations. A massive, lively casino (offering 1,000 more slots than the largest Las Vegas casino), 15 on-site restaurants, live entertainment, modern luxurious rooms, and a full-service spa make Journey much more than your standard golf resort.

A Waldorf Astoria Resort boasting two on-site, award-winning golf courses as well access to three diverse courses at the famous PGA West, this is THE golf resort. If you are just learning to hit the links, snag some lessons from the best in the business at the PGA West Golf Academy. Six on-site restaurants, a lavish spa, plenty of pools to splash in, and the Waldorf Astoria excellence you have come to expect round out your visit.

JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa

Palm Desert, CA 92260

Incredible water features dominate the landscape at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort. From meandering rivers that run, quite literally, through the inside of the hotel property, to a massive lake that juxtaposes with the concrete hotel building, this resort loves water. As mesmerizing as these water displays may be, I recommend avoiding the many water hazards on the two 18-hole courses that call the Marriott home.

Rancho Las Palmas

41-000 Bob Hope Drive
Rancho Mirage, CA 92270

Take the whole family to Rancho Las Palmas Resort to learn the love of the game. The resort and course both cater to families by offering junior tees on all 27 holes (three nine-hole courses), half-price tee times for kids under 16, and completely FREE golf for kids after noon. If your kids get tired of swinging the clubs around, take them to the resort's Splashtopia, an on-site family waterpark equipped with waterslides, a sandy beach, lazy river, and plenty of water squirting and splashing play structures.

Indian Wells, CA 92210

Stay and play at one of the Hyatt's two 18-hole championship golf courses: the Celebrity Course that features diversity and challenge, or the Players Course that displays wide fairways and beautiful topography. The IW Club offers a full-sized golf shop and a Callaway Performance Center, one of only nine worldwide. A visit to this Performance Center will offer high-tech golf lessons, club fitting, and much more. Off the course, play in the pools, grab a much-needed massage in the Agua Serena Spa, or simply relax in one of the one or two-bedroom villas with a mountain view.
