Whether it be the warm Inland Empire sun in the summer, or a cool watery shower any time of the year, if you’re in need of a place to play and eat with the kids check these places out.

Located in gorgeous downtown Temecula, Pennypickle’s Workshop is a child’s imagination wonderland. Set up to imitate Professor Pennypickle’s home, the 7,500-square-foot “workshop” is full of scientific discoveries, mazes, lights, puzzles and fun. There is a large eating area to eat lunch or snack if you need a break from all the science fun.

The Cove – Jurupa Aquatic Center

4310 Camino Real
Riverside, CA 92509
(951) 360-1974

Although the Cove is only open for the hot Inland Empire summer season (this year, May 25 through Sept. 2), it is the place to go to cool off for families. No outside food is currently allowed at The Cove; however the Backyard Grille offers some family favorites. There are plenty of tables and lounge chairs located around the large Lil’ Mates Lagoon.

Child’s Play is an indoor, temperature-controlled playground designed for kids 6 months to 6 years old. The entire facility is located in one large room where your child can be seen from any angle. Of course, the center of incredible fun and incredible parties would also have incredible food. The buffet food style of John’s Incredible Pizza Company not only offers yummy, strange and delicious choices of pizza but also a large salad bar, pasta, soups and dessert! Fill your belly while the kids spend their weight in quarters on the play floor.

Guasti Regional Park

Ontario, CA 91764

Of course going to a park is the obvious choice for a “play and eat spot” but I assure you that the Guasti Regional Park is no ordinary park! Complete with a swimming lagoon, fishing lake, splash park, super fun play equipment area, plenty of green grass and water slides you and your family can go and stay all day!
