Guide To The Vegan Street Fair: Nights

Vegan Street Fair, the vegan food and lifestyle celebration touting bite sized eats, has expanded with a new concept sure to delight attendees of all ages: a vegan night market. After much success with its second annual Vegan Street Fair in March, Vegan Street Fair Nights will offer the same bite sized eats as its predecessor in addition to musical entertainment by Orange County's 80s cover band FlashPants, a beer garden, board games, beer pong and giant jenga set under the stars.
 
The exclusive two-night event at The Federal Bar, which lasts from 5pm-12am on Friday September 2nd and Saturday September 3rd, will feature 17 of some of the most highly sought after vegan and vegan friendly vendors in California. Carefully curated by vegan Instagram personality, @VeganFatKid, the lineup includes such powerhouses as Burgerlords, Equelecuá Cuban Café, Mandoline Grill, Ridiculous Baking, Divine Dips Vegan Ice Cream, The Donuttery, Yoga-urt and many more. Some food highlights include all vegan ham and cheese croissants, plantain nachos, banh mi sandwiches, homemade pretzels and warm brownies a la mode.

Tickets
Vegan Street Fair Nights will host 1,500 attendees each night. Tickets are $20 for general admission and $40 for a VIP fast pass and can be purchased via Eventbrite.

Ridiculous Baking Co. is LA's premiere local vegan bakery, creating the stuff vegans miss having like delicious buttery croissants, minus the butter of course. For VSF Nights, Ridiculous Baking Co. is teaming up with Minnesota based The Herbivorous Butcher to bring guests their amazing croissants stuffed with ham and cheese, reuben croissants with Herbivorous Butcher's pastrami and swiss, locally made kraut and 1000 island. They will also be bringing their delicious cronuts and gluten free German chocolate cupcakes.

Equelecuá Cuban Cafe is the first and only all vegan Cuban restaurant on the planet. They bring a healthy alternative to Cuban cuisine, but they don't sacrifice flavor in order to do so. At Vegan Street Fair they will be serving their vegan version of a classic Cuban sandwich, as well as a Cuban/Mexican fusion of vegan Cuban nachos, which adds a bit of heat, and really showcases who what this Los Angeles based culinary squad is all about.

Mandoline Grill is a one woman owned and operated truck serving up delicious eats by Mong Skillman who has been in the business for over six years. Following recipes of her mother's Vietnamese restaurant in Hawaii where she he served for over 18 years, the Grill serves healthy and tasty Vietnamese food with a twist. They offer vegan-friendly dishes including Vietnamese banh mi French baguette sandwiches, which will be served at the event, vermicelli rice noodle bowls, Vietnamese fusion tacos and Vietnamese nachos. The truck is in Los Feliz for dinner every Monday night with two other food truck as Mong organizes a weekly dinner lot there at OMGC Parish, and a portion of the food truck sales goes to the school.

The Federal Bar is a gastropub serving American cuisine including traditional comfort foods as well as vegetarian and vegan fare. The restaurant offers 25 American craft beers on draft and small batch cocktails. Serving the community since 2011, the Federal varies its menu, drink, and draft selection, so there is always something new to try. At their vendor booth they will be serving a house made pretzels with mustard & cashew vegan queso, roasted spaghetti squash pad thai served in a Chinese to-go box along with a Vegan Weena, a spicy chipotle dog, mango salsa, avocado crème, pretzel dog.

Burgerlords is L.A.'s first blog-to-table burger stand which serves a scaled back burger concept with vegan friendly options such as their famous house-made vegan burger along with limited specials that make it into rotation. In addition, they serve special chef collaborations. Alongside their house-made vegan burger, Burgerlords will be offering a special "Eastern Bacon Cheeseburger," which consists of their house made patty, Sweet Baby Rays BBQ Sauce, Smoky Tempeh Bacon and house made onion rings.

For Vegan Street Fair Nights, they will be offering six flavors of brownies and blondies as well as three à la mode sundae options. The special of the day in limited quantity will be the Matcha Blondie Sundae with spirulina caramel and goji berries.

At the beer garden there will be a selection of seven beers including: Angel City IPA, Angel City Pilsner, Sam Adams Oktoberfest, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Hangar 24 Orange Wheat, St Archer's Blonde and Woodchuck Amber Cider. Along with the beer selection, Cha Cha Kombucha and Todo Verde will be serving a selection of non-alcoholic beverages.
