Muggles and wizards alike will enjoy the return of "The Harry Potter" Film Concert Series this May featuring the second film in the "Harry Potter" franchise, "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets." For two days only, with three performance opportunities, fans of JK Rowling's series can watch the acclaimed film play in high-definition on a 40-foot screen while the Pacific Symphony Orchestra performs John Williams' beautiful score live and in sync with the film. Tickets start at $39.

Based on the 1992 smash-hit Whitney Houston/Kevin Costner musical film of the same name, "The Bodyguard" follows a former Secret Service agent who takes a job to protect a spirited vocal superstar, portrayed in the touring production by Grammy Award-nominated and multi-platinum recording artist, Deborah Cox. The production features favorite songs from the movie including, "I Have Nothing", "I'm Every Woman," and the iconic "I Will Always Love You" as well as additional songs by Whitney Houston woven into the play including "One Moment in Time"

The Pacific Symphony and Pacific Chorale performs Mahler's Second Symphony, often known as The Resurrection Symphony at the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall this June. Composed from 1888-1894, the symphony was the largest ever known at the time and still holds ground as an astonishing work of music as it ponders life, death, and transcendence. Presented and performed to celebrate artistic director John Alexander's 45-year tenure with the Pacific Chorale, the work will be conducted by Carl St. Clair with key vocals by Mary Wilson, soprano, and Margaret Lattimore, alto.

Teatro alla Scala Ballet Company's Giselle takes flight at Segestrom Hall this July, part of the first US tour of this company since 2001. Giselle is one of the most popular and most performed classical story ballets, and Coralli-Perrot's beautiful choreography will be re-imagined by Yvette Chauviré, now deceased, who starred as the ill-fated peasant girl herself first in the year 1950. The renowned Mikhailovsky Orchestra helps bring this otherwordly tale to vivid life. Principal casting for Giselle includes Misty Copeland, Roberto Bolle, Marianela Núñez, Nicoletta Manni, and Claudio Coviello on select performances.

"Fun Home," winner of five Tony Awards including the 1995 award for Best Musical, has made history onstage. This groundbreaking and incredible musical is based on Alison Bechdel's best-selling graphic memoir which follows her childhood experience at three different ages. Taking to the Segerstrom Hall stage for a very brief 6-day engagement, Orange County won't want to miss this "rare beauty that pumps fresh air into Broadway."
