Considered the pulse and epicenter of Downtown Los Angeles, LA Live first opened in 2007 and continues to be a premiere destination for live entertainment, boasting music venues for concerts and award ceremonies, nightclubs, restaurants, a bowling alley, museum and movie theater. The campus is also home to STAPLES Center, the Los Angeles Convention Center, The Ritz-Carlton Los Angeles and JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. LIVE.

Located at the intersection of Olympic Boulevard and Figueroa Street, it's always a good idea to plan ahead. Make sure to check the L.A. Live calendar to see which events are in town during your visit. This will help you gauge the traffic situation, plan parking and determine if restaurant reservations are needed.

How To Get There

Metro
For the best route, check the Metro Trip Planner and take the Metro Blue or Expo Line to Pico Station (2 min walk) or the Metro Red or Purple Line to 7th St/Metro Center Station (7 min walk).

Dash Bus
DASH Bus Route F has several stops on Figueroa St. adjacent to L.A. LIVE.

Metrolink
Metrolink operates train service within Southern California from Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside, Ventura, Orange, and North San Diego Counties. They now have special weekend passes for only $10 which includes free connections to Metro bus and rail lines that stop nearby. Visit www.metrolinktrains.com for more information.

AMTRAK
AMTRAK offers train service from beyond the Los Angeles area to Union Station, just minutes from L.A. LIVE. Taxi service and UBER is available from Union Station to the L.A. LIVE campus. (Amtrak passengers must purchase a separate ticket to ride the Metro Rail.)

Bike
Another option to get to LA Live is to ride your bike! L.A. LIVE cares about the environment and have installed bike racks available in the East Garage, located at Olympic Blvd and Francisco Street. If you ride down the ramp, racks can be found on the left.

Driving
If you're planning on attending an event, grabbing dinner or going bowling, there are a variety of different ways to get to the LA Live.

  • From The Westside - Take the 10 Freeway East (towards Los Angeles). Merge onto the 110 Freeway South (toward San Pedro). Keep right to continue on Exit 20C toward Adams Blvd. Turn left onto W. 23rd St. Turn left at the 1st cross street onto S. Figueroa St. Turn left onto Chick Hearn Ct. LA Live will be on your right.
  • From The South Bay - Take the 405 Freeway North (towards Santa Monica), and merge onto the 105 Freeway East (towards Norwalk). Take the 110N/Los Angeles. Take 10 West Santa Monica Fwy. Exit Pico Blvd. Continue onto LA Live Way and turn right onto Chick Heart Ct.
  • From Hollywood - Take the 101 Freeway South. Exit 3B for 110 South/Harbor Fwy toward San Pedro. Merge onto 110/Harbor Fwy. Take exit 22A toward Olympic Blvd. Turn left onto Blaine St. Turn left onto W. 11th St. Continue onto Chick Hearn Ct.
  • From Pasadena - Take the 110 Freeway South. Exit Olympic Blvd, and turn left onto Blaine St. Turn left onto W. 11th St and continue onto Chick Hearn Ct.
  • From LAX Airport - Take the 105 East to the 110 North. Exit at 9th Street and turn right. Follow 9th Street to Flower Street abd turn right again. Proceed to Olympic Boulevard and turn right.
  • From Burbank Airport - Travel southwest and turn onto West Empire Avenue. Travel 0.9 mile and turn left onto North Buena Vista Street. Travel 0.4 mile and take the third right onto North San Fernando Boulevard. Travel 0.5 mile and take the ramp on the left onto Interstate 5 South. Travel 9.5 miles to exit 137B for CA-110 South/Pasadena Freeway toward Los Angeles. Continue to follow CA-110 South for 3.8 miles to exit 22B for 8th Street toward 9th Street. Turn left onto West 8th Place. Continue onto West 9th Street/James M Wood Boulevard. Travel 0.1 mile and turn right onto Francisco Street. Travel 0.1 mile and turn right onto West Olympic Boulevard.
  • From Orange County / San Gabriel Valley or San Diego - Take the 5 Freeway North. Take exit toward 10 W/Santa Monica. Merge onto CA 60 West. Merge onto 10 West. Take exit 13 for 110 North toward Downtown LA. Exit Pico Blvd/Contention Center and continue onto LA Live Way. Turn right onto Chick Hearn Ct.

Parking
While there are plenty of parking lots surrounding L.A. LIVE, your best bet is to park in one of the many designated lots on the property. Make sure to arrive early to guarantee parking and plan ahead by checking the L.A. LIVE events calendar online. On busy nights, the East Garage fills up quickly.
 
Restaurant Parking
East Garage (Lot E) and West Garage (Lot W, Gates E&F)
 
East Garage (Lot E, Enter on Olympic Blvd) or West Garage (Lot W, Gates E & F - Enter on Georgia St. and turn on West Road). $5 for the first 2 hours and $5 each additional 1/2 hour ($25 maximum). Flat rate: $10 after 9:00 p.m. Valet Service is available on Level P2 of the East Garage (Lot E) from 4 p.m. - 2 a.m. Confirm validation prior to arrival.
 
Event Parking
West Garage (Lot W, Gate B)
 
West Garage (Lot W, Gate B, Enter on Chick Hearn Ct.) is recommended for longer events and validation is not necessary. There is a flat rate of $10-$30 depending on the event. Valet service is available for an additional fee.
 
Regal Cinemas Parking
(Lot 4)
 
Use Lot 4 located on the north side of Olympic Blvd at Francisco Street when visiting Regal Cinemas. The theater will validate parking for ticketed guests. $6 for the first 4 hours; $10 for the first 4 1/2 hours and $5 each additional 1/2 hour ($25 maximum).
 
Tip: If Lot 4 is full, try the West Garage (Lot W, Gates E and F.)
 
Electric Vehicle Charging Stations
Ten Level 2 electric vehicle charging stations are available in the West Garage located at 1005 W. Chick Hearn Ct, and the East Garage located at 800 W. Olympic Blvd. In both garages, the EV charging spaces are positioned near the pedestrian access points of the garage. There is a fee for charging.
