Born on Nov. 25, 1971 in Hollywood, actress Christina Applegate is most well-known for her role as clueless daughter Kelly Bundy on the popular TV sitcom “Married… With Children,” although she made her acting debut at three months old on the daytime soap opera “Days of our Lives.” Not known by some is that Applegate help found the girl group the Pussycat Dolls, who started out practicing in the actress’ L.A. home. Applegate hooked them up with a gig at Johnny Depp’s Viper Room on the Sunset Strip, and even emceed for the group when they moved on to the Roxy.

Born in Culver City on Feb. 22, 1975, actress Drew Barrymore’s mother, Ildiko Jaid, started taking her to auditions as a baby and Barrymore made her TV debut in a dog food commercial when she was only a year old. She landed her most famous role as Gertie in Steven Spielberg’s “E.T.: The Extraterrestrial” in 1982 (Spielberg is also her godfather). Despite her rocky public image in the early years of her career, Barrymore has emerged as a Hollywood staple. During her brief marriage to comedian Tom Green, the couple’s $3 million mansion was destroyed in a fire.

Actress Angelina Jolie was born June 4, 1975 in Los Angeles to Academy Award-winning actor Jon Voight and French actress Marcheline Bertrand. Jolie began acting at a young age and grew in popularity after her 1998 TV film “Gia,” in which she played deceased model Gia Marie Carangi. Jolie won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress for her portrayal in the film. The actress, also popular for her roles in “Girl, Interrupted,” the Lara Croft films and the “The Bone Collector,” is also known for her humanitarian work with the United Nations and her so-called blended family with actor Brad Pitt. The couple sold rights for the first images of their twins, Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline, to “People” and “Hello!” magazines in 2008 for $14 million.

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow was born Sept. 28, 1972 in Los Angeles although her family moved about 11 years later to the Big Apple. Her parents, Tony Award-winning actress Blythe Danner and TV producer Bruce Paltrow, made sure their daughter was no stranger to the world of Hollywood. Paltrow made her stage acting debut at the age of five and won an Oscar for Best Actress for her role opposite Brad Pitt in 1998’s “Shakespeare in Love.” The actress has been romantically linked with Pitt and Ben Affleck, but has been married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin since 2003 (the couple has two children).

Model and talk show host Tyra Banks was born Dec. 4, 1973 in Inglewood in southwestern LA and has achieved many “firsts” in her 20-year career. Banks started her modeling career at the age of 17 and walked the runway, appeared on magazine covers, in commercials and even on billboards. Three years after starting her career as a model, Banks became the first black woman to land a large cosmetic deal when she signed with CoverGirl. She was also the first black model to appear on the covers of “GQ” and the “Sports Illustrated” swimsuit issue. Banks has successfully been hosting and producing her own reality TV show, “America’s Next Top Model,” since 2003. She spends the bulk of her time between L.A.and NYC.
