October is breast cancer awareness month, and Southern California has plenty of opportunities to help the fight against this disease. Join in the cause at these empowering events.

The organization has been able to help save 490 lives a day by implementing education, research, legislature and awareness about breast cancer. This local Orange County event has accumulated about $44,000 in proceeds throughout the years and will still be going strong with your help. The event will have participants walk 60 miles over a three-day period. Most of the proceeds will help fund research, outreach and awareness. Not only will you walk off some extra pounds for a good cause, you will be able to bond with new friends and old while making a difference in the community.
