On Valentine’s Day, Laguna Beach’s Selanne Steak Tavern along with Chef Josh Severson and his team will offer a special meal for visitors inside their chic upstairs dining room, downstairs in the cozy tavern, in their wine room and on the heated veranda. Those who love fine dining will certainly enjoy an Amuse Bouche of ‘Champagne Gourmand’ with an optional pairing of N.V. Nicholas Feuillatte Brut Reserve Champagne (3 oz). Then, choose between Bittersweet Scallops, a tasty pear salad or a Maine Lobster “Hot Pot” accompanied by a choice of supplemental wines – 2014 August Kesseler, ‘R’ Riesling, Kabinett, Germany (3 oz) or 2014 Resonance Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, Oregon (3 oz). For entree’s, a Jidori Chicken with parsnip and chartreuse of thigh, a Dover Sole with lemon risotto, English peas, caviar and beurre monté or a American Wagyu Tenderloin with pommes puree, pickled trumpet mushrooms and bordelaise will be offered with special wine pairings. Finish up with a grand dessert! Guests may opt for a pavlova or chocolate mousse and opt for supplemental pairing of Warres 10-year-old Tawny Port (2 oz) or Selanne Maple Carmel Barrel Aged Bourbon (2 oz).

Chef George Neyra of Newport’s Ritz Prime Seafood will be creating a memorable gourmet tasting menu that is sure to have you wanting more.
