A good belly laugh is sometimes all anyone needs to change up the mood. Now through spring 2016, Orange County welcomes a variety of standup comedians and improv groups who will hopefully make'em laugh. Damon Wayans, David Spade, Bill Maher and Martin Short - all legendary funny guys will be touring and bringing their jokes to the OC.

Damon Wayans, known for his award-winning sketch comedy show "In Living Color," "The Underground" and animated "Waynehead", a laundry list of sketch characters, starring roles as actor and producer and much more, is on tour and will appear at the Irvine Improv. He will appear at the Irvine Improv from Nov. 12-15, 2015. Wayans brings his quick and funny nature to the stage. Tickets are available now, ranging from $35 - 45. David Spade, Jake Johannsen and Greg Shoemaker are also scheduled to appear before the end of the year.

Funny gal Cindy Burns, with a long list of credits, pulls together her hilarious girlfriends to headline the Funniest Housewives of Orange County at The Coach House in February. This definite must-see comedy show stars the "exhausted housewife," played by America's Got Talent finalist Wendy Liebman, "sarcastic housewife," portrayed by Amy Anderson (her daughters play "Lily" on Modern Family), Kira Soltanovich of "Girls Behaving Badly" as "inappropriate housewife," psychic standup artist Karen Rontowski as "hippie housewife" and Cindy Burns as "anti-aging housewife." Priority seating and dinner are available prior to the show with reservations.

Funny, political and honest, Bill Maher is set to perform and engage OC audiences at the City National Grove of Anaheim on March 5, 2016. Known for entertaining TV audiences via his Comedy Central show "Politically Incorrect" and his HBO "Real Time with Bill Maher," Maher began his stand-up career in 1979. His current tour promises to be one-of-a-kind garnering big laughs. City National Grove of Anaheim is a unique venue that features a great prix fixe dinner option.

ImprovCity's "Thursday Nightmare" performance is a fan favorite. Improvising spoofs of popular B-horror movies, comedians convey the funnies in the horrors. On Thursday nights starting at 7:30 p.m., audiences get two 45-minute shows for the price of one. Friday and Saturday night improve shows are 90 minutes long. ImprovCity is always family-friendly and clean for all ages. Guests can visit ImprovCity's website to check out the different shows offered. No two performances are ever the same - hence the improve format. Professional improvisational comedians perform here in a variety of show types including standup, podcast recording, sketch comedy and long form improve. Don't be surprised if audience members find themselves up on the stage alongside the comedians.

Not your typical comedic performance, Martin Short appears on stage at the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall along with conductor Richard Kaufmann and the Pacific Symphony. On April 5, 2016 at 8 p.m., audiences can plan on an "unpredictable" evening featuring the comedy legend Martin Short. The show promises to be funny and fun and full of song, dance and laughter. Short is both Emmy and Tony award-winning and gained loyal audiences when he appeared on "Saturday Night Live." His famous film roles include "Father of the Bride" and, of course, "Three Amigos" with his comedic buds Steve Martin and Chevy Chase. Segerstrom Hall welcomes all sorts of performances including musical theater, dance and opera. Tickets begin at $35.
