Now in it's ninth year, the music and tattoo festival has spent the last three of those under the watchful discernment of drummer extraordinaire Travis Barker. Featuring some 300-plus of the world's most revered tattooers, the Low and Slow car show (of which Barker will be featuring some of his own personal favorites) and a diverse main stage line up that includes headlining appearances from Snoop Dogg, Deftones, and Circa Survive, it's tough not find something worth the price of admission. Resonating with a cross section of fans that seems specific to Southern California, the fairgrounds will be buzzing this weekend.

ne of the best stretches of paradise in Laguna Beach is Heisler Park. Along with a few benches, a gazebo, a few public use barbecues, and all the Pacific Ocean you can see, this cliffs provide the ideal setting to watch the sun set and rise. In addition, you can also take in the sun and sunbathe for the day. Under optimum conditions, you have a clear line of site all the way to Catalina Island as well. In close proximity to the hub of Laguna Beach's costal businesses, it's hard to imagine that a trip to a public park would be this gratifying. Snap a few photos under the shade of the California palm trees and experience why everyone wants to move here.

Arguably, the city of Santa Ana can lay claim to embracing the artistic community well before it was the thing to do. In fact, their Downtown Santa Ana Artwalk has been happening the first Saturday of every month since 1999. That means the artwalk is approaching nearly two decades strong. Averaging nearly 4,000 visitors in just one day, the 20+ participants in the way of galleries, restaurants, and cocktail bars all open their doors to local artists and the creative community of Orange County. With theme events, regular charity tie-ins, and plenty of food, drink, and culture, there is a reason Santa Ana is considered such a progressive hotspot within the county.

Launching out of scenic Dana Point, Dana Wharf not only allows kids to fish for free (with the purchase of an adult ticket) but there are instructors that join the boat ride to specifically teach the little guys and gals sportfishing technique. Just outside of the Disneyland Hotel you'll find tiki torches and a pathway that takes you to a hut brimming with tourists and locals sipping on themed drinks and looking for a bit of enchantment. During your stay at Trader Sam's you might find that a tropical storm will pass through. You might also notice that your barstool is moving. Trader Sam's has subtle special effects that seem to make that massive Tiki Rum taste just a bit better.
