Rutabegorz Restaurant opened in 1970 serving only dessert and coffee, with an emphasis on health-conscious eating. There are presently three locations, the original in Fullerton, another at 264 N. Glassel St. in Orange, and the other at 158 W. Main St. in Tustin. It places an emphasis on serving fresh, natural foods including vegetables and fruits, along with chicken, turkey, albacore tuna and lean deli meats. One of the specials is the pumpkin hummus served with tortilla chips and veggie sticks, priced at $3.75 as part of a full meal's order. Another of the specialties is the Buffalo Bill's pumpkin ale for $2.
