Best Restaurants Open On Thanksgiving In Los Angeles

Kiss the kitchen goodbye this Thanksgiving holiday and dial up for a reservation at one of L.A.'s best restaurants. While an abundance of restaurants are open on the holiday, the five listed below offer a little something different on the menu or in the setting that you can't get at home. Find interesting takes and worldly inspirations on classic dishes all while preserving tradition, as well as a California sunset overlooking the beach. Reservations are required - do it today.

Salt's Cure is hosting a five-course dinner to ring in the holiday. Priced at $70 per person, the menu will feature a selection of modern, seasonally inspired Thanksgiving dishes crafted in-house using ingredients sourced only from local, sustainable farmers. Highlights from the menu include grilled oysters, sweet potato soup, a farmer's market fall chopped salad, turkey and smoked ham with mashed potatoes, cranberry relish, stuffing and green bean casserole sides and pecan pie for dessert. Additionally, wine pairings will be offered for $30 featuring Big Table Farm Riesling, Donkey and Goat Roussanne and Bellwether Pinot Noir. Dinner will be served from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. Reservations are not required, but are highly recommended. Walk-ins are welcome.

The seaside hotel's flagship restaurant, mar'sel, will offer an elegant family-style Thanksgiving menu. The holiday menu, prepared by Chef de Cuisine Charles Olalia, features gourmet versions of traditional favorites like slow roasted Diestal turkey, pumpkin soup with truffle oil, cornbread stuffing with homemade sausage and more. The dinner is priced at $80 and is available on Thanksgiving Day from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Before or after your feast, visit Nelson's (the hotel's sports bar) which will be showing football all day…a more than ideal way to welcome the food coma.

CAFÉ del REY offers a beautiful marina setting giving guests one more reason to be grateful. This year, the Mediterranean coast-inspired restaurant and Chef Chuck Abair will present a holiday prix-fixe menu with lots of delicious options including starters (roasted chestnut soup, lobster ceviche), main courses (roasted turkey breast with sausage stuffing, green beans, truffle mash and cranberry sauce, salmon with a sweet potato gratin and a grilled New York steak with crispy Brussels sprouts) and fall desserts (cranberry apple bread pudding with apple ice cream and caramel sauce or sweet potato pie with a Chantilly cream and cinnamon anglaise). Dinner will be offered 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Reservations are highly recommended, but walk-ins are welcome.

Cecconi's is going to host a family-style Thanksgiving with all of the trimmings. Chef de Cuisine has an all-inclusive supper on Thanksgiving featuring BN Ranch Heritage free-range organic turkey, cornbread stuffing with leeks and porcini mushrooms, butternut squash tortellini, black truffle mashed potatoes, honey roasted carrots, sweet potatoes, Brussels and kale sprouts and, of course, cranberry sauce. Desserts offered will include pumpkin pie, chocolate brownie, cardamom gelato and apple and pecan crostata. The family-style Thanksgiving is $55 per adult, and $20 for children 10 and under. Reservations will be accepted from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. The restaurant will be open for breakfast prior to Thanksgiving service.
