Always a reason to celebrate, Mardi Gras parties and events are happening all over Orange County this year. So whether you bring your family or just plan an evening out with adults, visit these venues for the best places to celebrate this famous February holiday.

Have some fun with the entire family at this special Mardi Gras celebration that supports a good cause. The free event is being hosted for the sixth year in a row by Bourbon Street Bar & Grill and will benefit autism charities. There will be dance activities, horse therapy and a mobile fish aquarium. The fun will take place next to the Fullerton Train Depot from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday, February 14. To learn more about the event, check out the flyer here.

For an adults-only Mardi Gras celebration infused with German culture, check out the Karneval Auf Der Reeperbahn being held in Anaheim. The party will be reminiscent of the Reeperbahn in Hamburg's St. Pauli Nightlife District and will have German food, beer and cocktails. There will also be a costume contest in which guests are encouraged to dress as sailors and seductresses in light of the Reeperbahn being known as a place where sailors enjoyed the company of ladies. Representative of the carnival held in Venice, Italy, the Long Beach Carnevale is a Mardi Gras celebration fit for adults and children alike. There will be music, live performances, photos taken with masquerade masks and colorful, detailed costumes. Everyone is encouraged to dress up with masks and costumes that reflect individuality and expression. The goal of the event is to let loose and have a good time.

When thinking of the most popular Mardi Gras celebration held each year, of course New Orleans comes to mind. The good news is if you are not able to travel to New Orleans, you can at least experience a somewhat similar vibe at Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen located in the Downtown Disney® District. The restaurant is modeled after French Quarter style and there's even a " jazz balcony" where you can see Downtown Disney®. The restaurant serves up Southern favorites such as jambalaya, bread pudding, shrimp n' grits, cornbread and fried chicken and has live jazz by Amanda Castro Band and Kenny Sara and The Sounds of New Orleans.

If you are unable to attend "Mardi Gras for Autism" hosted by Bourbon Street Bar & Grill, you can still celebrate Mardi Gras with some Cajun cuisine at the restaurant. The menu has mouth-watering traditional Southern cuisine and new creations such as "Fried Shrimp Po' Boy," "Pulled Pork Sandwich," "Louisiana Fries," "Country Fried Steak and Waffles," "Voodoo Shrimp" and "Bourbon Street Nacho Fries." On Monday nights there's karaoke and on Wednesdays, there's live music.
