Let’s be honest. Burgers are amazing. If you’re looking for the best burgers in LA, start eating your way through this list. I can’t take the credit for this compilation of amazing burgers myself; a very official task committee of my closest LA friends and family joined together to make this highly-researched article come to life. You’ll thank us later.

A consistent vote for the absolute best burger in LA, Father’s Office in Santa Monica and Culver City offers up a juicy burger in a unique European gastropub setting. Pair your Office Burger (topped with caramelized onion, applewood bacon, gruyere, maytag blue, and arugula) with one of their 36 rotating craft beers on tap. Don’t even try to make any substitutions. My friend Kellie Fell likens the experience to the infamous soup nazi; I guess Father knows best and doesn’t want to be messed with. Must be 21 to enter.

For a great tasting burger with a bit of Japanese kick, head to Umami Burger. The namesake burger mixes up the perfect combination of a house-ground, hand-formed patty complemented by shitake mushrooms, caramelized onions, roasted tomato, parmesan crisp, and unami ketchup. Pair your burger with truffle fries and a beer for a complete meal. They claim it’s a badass bite and we agree. If you can’t make it to the Los Feliz location, check them out in Pasadena or Westwood.
