From cheesy competitions in honor of Grilled Cheese Month to the return of the Newport Beach Film Festival to world-premiere entertainment, this week boasts a lot for Orange County residents. Families will find plenty to do including teaching your kids about altruism through fun and service, seeing Disney on Ice or heading to the Big Top for a circus spectacular.

Celebrate National Grilled Cheese Month at Provisions Market as they join forces with OC Baking Company to host The Big Cheese, Orange County's grilled cheese festival and competition. OC Chefs will compete for the title of "The Big Cheese" tonight, with proceeds from the event donating to You Are Special, a local nonprofit that operates a food pantry for Orange County residents. A ProAm competitor, chosen from #thebigcheese2015 Instagram contest, will also compete for the prize. Tickets ($45) include limited tasters of select craft beer.

The Arts Orange County's 6th annual Creative Edge Lecture series brings author, historian, curator, and critic Sarah Lewis to the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall stage this evening. Her 90-minute lecture will discuss the world's greatest innovators including the spark of creative endeavors and how to utilize so-called failures to lead to transformation and breakthrough. The one-night only event is open to the public.

Direct from the New York Musical Theatre Festival, head to the La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts for "Jane Austin's Pride and Prejudice," a brand-new World-premiere musical hitting the California scene for the first time. The compelling love story of Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy unfolds on stage under the direction of Igor Goldin, Timonty Splain (musical direction), and Jeffery Denman (choreography). The music, lyrics and book were written by Lindsay Warren Baker and Amanda Jacobs, based on the novel of the same name by Jane Austin. Join the production this evening for an after-the-show "Talkback" with the cast and creative team.
