This week, Los Angeles can eat, drink, watch, listen, and play their way through the days with a variety of events and happenings appealing to nearly everyone. From celebrating the 21st anniversary of the classic and legendary Viper Room (with a full lineup of concerts all week) to watching firefighters compete in their biennial games, to the chance to play together as a family with the Imagineers from Disney Parks, to tasting some temping treats in time for Olive Oil Month and National Creamsicle Day, get ready to enjoy the week!

On Friday, join fellow neighbors for the 4th annual Echo Park Rising, a neighborhood event focusing on music, creativity, diversity and small businesses from Echo Park. Multiple stages and activities will be on hand throughout the weekend. This free event will take place on the main routes on Sunset Blvd, Glendale Blvd, Alvarado Avenue and Echo Park Avenue. Although the event is free, they are offering VIP tickets which include some benefits such as easy access to the main venues, special bars and more. The event runs all weekend with Friday’s activities beginning at 4pm and ending at 10pm. Street parking is available throughout the neighborhood.

“Bye Bye Birdie”

Take the whole family out for a day of active (and free!) fun at the kickoff for KaBoom! Play Together Powered by Disney Parks. LA’s summer long celebration of food, movies and more is featuring Prince’s “Purple Rain” at the Autry National Center.
