There's still plenty of sun to soak up as summer starts winding down. Keep cool Monday with a Frozen sing-along at the El Capitan, and then it's all about outdoor fun the rest of the week. Movie-goers who love seeing films alfresco have the choice to sit back in style with a Rooftop Film Club screening of The Breakfast Club, or visit the Bowl as the L.A. Phil scores the beloved classic E.T. as it's projected on the big screen. Food-lovers have their choice of everything from L.A.'s finest culinary fare to fair fare, as both the L.A. Times' The Taste and the L.A. County Fair are back. A rival showdown at Dodger stadium and a night of bluegrass and funk are on tap as well, so get out and get going L.A.

Harness the power of imagination, animation, and air conditioning to beat the heat Monday at the El Capitan Theater. Grown-ups and kids alike will be transported to the frozen kingdom of Arendelle during the popular Frozen sing-along. Audience members are encouraged to belt out the film's hits, including the inescapable Oscar winning song "Let it Go," while they enjoy the movie. Arrive early to see Elsa make a special appearance before the show (and see it snow!), and don't miss Olaf live on stage after the movie in a special performance of Frozen Fever.

Tonight the Dodgers take on the rival Giants in the second game of their three games series. The game starts at 7:10pm and it's Justin Turner bobblehead night, so don't be late! Celebrate a night of country, bluegrass, funk, and gospel with The Whole Damn Fam and Little Faith. The L.A.-based musical collective The Whole Damn Fam is made up of the five Pullman siblings, who each take turns singing and playing back up. Blending folk, punk, americana, and rock and roll, the band entertains all audiences. Adding a little soul, gospel, and old school R&B to the night is another L.A.-based collective Little Faith. The show takes places outdoors in the beautiful garden theater, and starts at 7:30pm.

If you're looking for that fair experience, but want to keep it coastal, Fiesta Hermosa is the place to be. Music, food, drinks, and an entire Kiddie Carnival are all part of this Labor Day weekend extravaganza. Two stages featuring live music will keep crowds entertained with tribute bands, classic rock, reggae, and more. The fairgoer favorite Food Court offers 18 different kinds of ethnic food choices, and of course classic cotton candy, fresh squeezed lemonade, and funnel cakes. Rounding out the fun is the popular Charity Beer & Wine Garden, which features a selection of brews and wines served by local "celebrities," with proceeds going toward participating organizations that work with the community. Fiesta Hermosa runs from Saturday to Monday.

Follow the Reese's Pieces trail to the Hollywood Bowl this weekend for a special screening of E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. This world-premiere event features the Los Angeles Philharmonic performing John Williams' award winning score alongside the film projected on the Bowl's big screen. A heartwarming story about a boy and his alien friend, E.T. is the perfect family film to watch, and hear, under the stars.
