Mr. C Beverly Hills will be hosting revelers at its New Year's Eve Bash. The quaint European-style hotel in BH welcomes guests to a decadent five-course dinner beginning at 9 p.m. at The Restaurant at Mr. C. You'll find dancing and live music (until 2 a.m.) by Shawn Amos, Mr. C's resident American blues and jazz musician, and of course a midnight champagne toast in the lounge. It's a $215 per person night that will not disappoint. The special menu includes the French prepared Maine lobster Thermidor, a pan-fried beef filet with green peppercorn sauce, and the classic Cipriani dessert — vanilla meringue cake with strawberries and sugar crust. Baltaire, the newest steakhouse on the West side of L.A., is paying homage to its Great Gatsby-inspired ambiance by offering a Roaring 20s Bash on Dec. 31. Two seatings (5:30 -6:30 p.m./$175 per person and 9-9:45 p.m./$250 per person) will be offered to accommodate guests who like to ring in the new year NY style or for those who prefer to toast at midnight Pacific standard time. Guests are encouraged to arrive in their favorite 1920s wear and will party with a live band, jazz vocalist Gina Saputo, a DJ, can-can dancers and roaming martini and caviar carts. Executive Chef Travis Strickland is creating a Roaring 20s five-course feast featuring steak tartare, lobster bisque, oysters, maple leaf duck breast, 48-ounce prime tomahawk for two, Scottish salmon, bourbon croissant bread pudding, lemon meringue pie and bananas foster. The second seating, which is a tad more expensive, also includes a glass of Champagne before and after dinner. Guests may also reserve one of the couch seating areas in the bar and lounge with access to bottle service.
