The Rainbow

You name a band, and I will guarantee they have been here. The food and service is 100% Rock & Roll. Plus, it’s on the Sunset Strip. Legendary. I would dive head first into a medium rare steak, Rainbow Fries, and a frosty beverage. Look up every once in a while because Lemmy might pull up a seat next to you. When I go visit the Sunset Strip I always start the night out at the Rainbow and then venture out on to the strip and bar hop at all of the other great locations, like the Key Club, The Whiskey, Viper Room, Gazzarri’s, and the Roxy. If I could only go to one bar in the world to eat my last meal it would be at The Rainbow at table #16 with a Jack & Coke.

How can you not like a place that offers Tater Tots on their menu, rocking music, and great selection of whisky, bourbon, and Scotch? You can’t. It’s impossible. Once you get there you have to order a beer, a shot of George Dickel and order a burger with extra cheese and a side of Tots. They’ve got to have the best happy hour in the whole city. For eight bucks you get a 24 oz. beer, a shot of booze, and a smoke. Anyone paying attention in NYC? If you love good food, music, and a great time then look nowhere else. Loaded has it all.

If you’re like me, then you love your music loud, fast, and heavy. And if you are like me, then you love a great burger. So why not get them together? The Grill Em All Truck is simply bad ass. I have experienced three different burgers from these guys, and each one is heavenly. The Gods of METAL have shined upon us and given us the greatest gift ever. The Blue Cheer Burger. WOW. Insanely great and simply amazing. Add them as a friend on Facebook, follow them on Twitter, and do yourself a favor… Find out where they are parked, crank up the car stereo with something brutal, and hit the gas. You need a Burger.

If you need to break out on a Monday for a night of METAL, good food, and a good selection of booze, then Cinespace is a great place to start the week. Steel Rod offers a Live Band Karaoke of your favorite hard rock and heavy metal tunage. Eat, drink and jump on stage to sing your favorite Iron Maiden song. I recommend sitting at the bar and experiencing the Cornmeal Crusted Calamari and the Buffalo Wings.

The Blvd in East LA is great venue for underground metal and punk. Plus, right next door is a KILLER mexican place that has tortillas made by hand (and open late!). Rock out and get your taco on.
