In comparing the East to the West, there's one thing people have always said: you can't get good Italian food in California. But with the amount of true-blooded Italians migrating to the Weft Coast and opening up restaurants and delis, that statement couldn't be more false. Los Angeles has some of the greatest Italian cuisine out there with lasagna being one of the top Italian comfort foods this season. While the rest of the state can't be vouched for, should you find yourself in Los Angeles and in the mood, stop into any of these places for some of the best lasagna on the West Coast.

It's near impossible to find anything on Angelini Osteria's menu that doesn't delight. Its Lasagna Verde "Omaggio Nonna Elvira" with beef and veal ragu is a customer favorite. Six layers of spinach lasagne noodles filled with rich tomato sauce, cheese and meat and topped with fried spinach is better than any lasagna you've ever had. The prices aren't cheap but they're definitely worth it.
